Conference on “Strengthening SMS Exports to Europe”

Objective: Promotion of TAM Program as an instrument of support to increasing competitiveness of small and medium enterprises, and a promotion of TAM Program performance

Realization

TAM Program of European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and European Agency for Reconstruction (EAR) had a conference on strengthening exports to Europe by small and medium enterprises from Serbia, on 7 May, in Belgrade. About 150 representatives of international institutions, banks, small and medium enterprises attended the conference.

The conference entitled “Strengthening Exports to Europe by Serbian SMEs” was opened by: State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development of Government of Serbia, Ms. Jasna Matic, Mr. Christof Gofasp, head of task team from European Agency for Reconstruction in Belgrade, Ms. Charlotte Salford, director of TAM and BAS Programs of EBRD, and Ms. Esmeralda Hernandez Aragones, advisor and head of political section at the European Commission mission to Serbia. Speakers who discussed export opportunities of Serbian SMS included representatives of successful enterprises, which had participated in TAM program, representatives of SIEPA, trade delegations of European countries and international consultants, while a panel discussion saw participation of directors of several, large international banks, and Serbia’s export credit agency.

Our task included preparation of conference concept and program, design of visual identity and media promotion. In addition, we prepared a text of promotional brochure in English and Serbian, to provide the key information about TAM Program and all data about companies participating in TAM Program in Serbia. Further, 11 case studies illustrated the results and methods of program implementation.

Media promotion of the conference included:
  • writing of press releases
  • invitations to media and ensuring presence of journalists at the conference
  • ensuring interviewees for the journalists from among the representatives of TAM Program, representatives of Serbian enterprises participating in current projects, representatives of Ministry of Economy and Regional Development of Government of Serbia
  • photographing and video recording of events
  • collecting and documenting media exposure through video and press clipping
During organization of the conference we cooperated with a specialized event management agency Public Events, due to demands of the event and a high level of effort required for preparation of materials.


Result

Print media published 15 articles about the TAM Program conference, while five reports were made by networks of news agencies, five stories appeared on various web portals, and four TV reports were broadcast.
