We organized the first press conference to mark the opening of the first Pizza Hut restaurant in Belgrade on 18 December 2003. In the period before the conference, the restaurant had already had 25.000 visitors, which means that objective of the conference was to inform media representatives about the brand, menu, plans for future growth and reactions of visitors.

We chose to have the conference at the restaurant, which is an excellent venue for purposes of promotion, and also a chance to taste the meals on the restaurant’s menu. Managers of Pizza Hut in Serbia, Mr. Anreas Efshatiu and Ms. Jelena Zivcevic addressed the journalists. The agency prepared an in-depth press material, which included a current press release on the opening of the restaurant in Belgrade, detailed information about Pizza Hut brand, and many other interesting details about this famous brand, which would be useful inspiration to journalists when writing their articles. Also, journalists received high quality photographs to illustrate their texts. The conference was attended by about 35 journalists from daily newspapers, magazines, radio stations, and TV stations.

In terms of further promotion of the restaurant, during January 2004 the agency was answering all add ional questions from journalists, while in February we organized a very well noted humanitarian action. In cooperation with the non-governmental organization Cherish Our Children International and Centre for Support of Children with developmental disorders from Stari grad municipality, children from the Centre staged the drama “Analfabeta” by Branislava Nusic. The show was attended by some very prominent guests, such as the wife of then US Ambassador to Serbia, Mrs. Lyn Montgomery, representatives of diplomatic core, Princess Jelisaveta Karadjordjevic, and others.

From 18 December to end of February 2004, 23 texts were published in print media, four texts appeared in services of news agencies, as well as five TV reports about Pizza Hut restaurant.
